Why Rats May Not Be Eating Rat Bait?

Rodents -

In animal behaviour, neophobia refers to the tendency of an animal to avoid or retreat from an unfamiliar object or situation. All phobias are unreasonable sorts of fear that can cause avoidance and panic. They represent a relatively common type of anxiety disorder. This particularly applies to brown rats living in rural areas. Avoidance to new food sources as well as bait stations is not uncommon, so it may take several days before they approach bait and feed. There have been recordings of Norway rat bait avoidance for up to 21 days. It is important to bear this in mind when placing bait for the first time. All the more reason to be baiting with D-Blocks or Ratabate Paste that offer the highest possible palatability to rats - rats find them simply irresistible!
