BT Trap Range – For Stoat, Rat, and Hedgehog Control

For operational purposes, BT Traps and DOC‑style traps are functionally equivalent. Both use the same mechanical principles, performance characteristics, and deployment requirements. BT traps are NAWAC‑approved humane kill traps for stoats. Ferret‑approved humane kill traps are listed separately under NAWAC Guideline 09.

There are two series of BT Traps: BT 200 and BT 250 traps.

Precision Calibrated for Reliable Performance

Each trap is individually calibrated and tested before dispatch to ensure the correct trigger weight for the target species and consistent field performance.

Standard Trigger Weights

• Rats: 90–100 grams (factory setting)

• Stoats: 70–80 grams

For large-volume orders, we can calibrate trigger weights to your specific requirements prior to shipment. Please contact us to discuss your project needs.

Safety Bar (Optional Accessory)
A safety bar is available to make baiting and setting the trap safer and easier. (Sold separately.)

Sustainability Commitment

We are committed to a more sustainable New Zealand. Instead of using acid-dipping processes, our traps are finished using glass-bead blasting, a cleaner and more environmentally responsible method.
