Research shows that prefeeding is the key to successful pest control operations. That’s because target animals become familiar with the flavour and delivery method of a non-toxic prefeed before toxic baits are delivered in the same way.
Ferafeed 213 is our most popular prefeed for attracting possums, rodents, and wallabies to traps and bait stations. It’s made with food grade ingredients, including peanut butter and grains, so target animals find it highly palatable.
Use Ferafeed 213 in permanent bait stations, or single use Bio Bags that can be stapled onto a tree or post.

Ferafeed 213 can also be used as a prefeed to attract possums and rodents to traps and bait stations. It is also highly effective when used for monitoring operations with Black Trakka tracking tunnels and cards, or chew cards.
For use in permanent bait stations, such as the run through, Philproof or Enviromate bait station:
Place the required amount of paste in the bait station and site the bait station near areas of animal signs and close to key food or play trees and possible nesting sites. Check the bait station regularly and replace as required.
Prefeeding should be carried out before replacing with toxin, once there is evidence that your target animal is interacting with the prefeed.

For use as a Lure:
Apply Ferafeed 213 directly on to the bait holder or bite block in a trap and in blobs leading to the trap, bait station or monitoring card or tunnel.
Replace as needed, when the paste has been removed by pest animals.
