The Collapsible Trap Tunnel is a double‑ended, live‑capture cage designed to attract and safely contain pest animals. The dual entry doors allow pests to see an exit route, significantly increasing their willingness to enter and interact with the trap. While the primary target species is feral cats, the tunnel is also effective for possums, rats, ferrets, and stoats—particularly individuals that are trap‑shy or cautious around conventional single‑door traps.
This model is fully collapsible for transport and storage, with light assembly required before use.
Placement and Operation
The Trap Tunnel should be positioned directly on trails, tracks, or run‑lines regularly used by target pests. When an animal enters and steps on the trigger plate, both doors close simultaneously. The small mesh size and robust door‑locking system prevent escape and ensure humane containment until the operator arrives.
Lure Positioning and Best Practice
For maximum effectiveness, the lure should be hung from the top mesh of the cage using a wire hook or similar attachment. Position the lure at eye height—approximately 8–10 cm above the treadle plate. This encourages the animal to look upward at the lure rather than downward at the trigger mechanism, resulting in deeper entry and more reliable activation.

Hanging lures also keeps them cleaner, reduces ant access, and maintains scent dispersal for longer periods.
