The Supervisor Max has been designed for home, backyard, and commercial use. Keeping your playful tots and pets in mind, it includes the shroud, reset lever, and automatic safety latch system which gives complete security for pets and children.

The Supervisor Max is a great addition to the D-Rat trap range. You can skip the wooden box and just place this lightweight trap in your backyard. Also called the tunnel trap, an opening at the mouth of the Supervisor Max gives it a tunnel-like entrance for rats and rodents making it easier to trap them.
Alert: Kids love using D-Rat traps – bright yellow, easy to use, stickers, cartoon-type characters to indicate the fine-set mode = engaging!

SETTING YOUR TRAP: Check that the red mode switch is in the set position. Using your right hand place your index finger at the pivot end of the Safety Set Lever and your thumb on the lever end. Rotate the lever one quarter of a turn until you hear a click and the lever is held in position. Warning: Trap is now set – keep your fingers clear of trap entrance.
TO UNSET A SET TRAP: Place your right hand thumb on the lever end of the Safety Set Lever. Rotate the lever a little to take the weight of the spring tension. Using your index finger shift the red mode switch towards the unset position/Boom symbol. This will release the trigger and the trap can now be safely unset by rotating the lever back the quarter turn – releasing the spring tension.
TO CLEAR AND RESET TRAP: Using your right hand and finger positions as if setting, simply rotate the Safety Set Lever to release the catch allowing it to fall clear. Lift up the shroud and remove any remains of your catch – an old dishwash brush is ideal for this task then rebait and reset.
RAT MODE – TRAP SET You must have the trap in this mode to set. Move the mode switch to the set position, as shown, under the rat symbol. Use this mode when you are first getting used to using your trap and in exposed settings such as high wind areas where the fine set mode may be too sensitive.
MOUSE MODE – FINE SETTING Push the red mode switch to the position under the mouse symbol to make the trap more sensitive. This setting enables the wariest of rats wwwand small mice to be caught. Be careful as in this setting the slightest bump can set off your trap.
RELEASE MODE – TRAP UNSET When the red mode switch is moved past Mouse Mode towards the Boom symbol the trigger is released and the trap will go off. Warning: keep fingers clear. We recommend you use the Safety Set Lever to control the release spring tension as described in the instructions: To unset a set trap.
SECURE MOUNTING OPTIONS – FOR OUTDOOR USE
CABLE TIE MOUNT: There are two cable tie slot features on the base of your supervisor max, feed cable tie through and fasten securely. We recommend you use a releasable cable tie so you can shift it around.
SCREW MOUNT: To fasten onto a timber surface use 6-8 gauge screw at 100mm centers. You can use the screw position template (on this sheet) and screw into timber until bottom of screw head is approximately 3mm above surface. Next locate supervisor onto oversized holes in the base of the trap, and slide forward. if it still feels loose or doesn’t engage you can adjust screw height accordingly.
