Choose the Right Location
Correct trap placement ensures possums encounter the trap naturally. Place the trap on flat ground where possum activity is visible. Ideal spots include backyards, sheds, bush edges, fence lines, and runways. Avoid areas with high pet or livestock traffic.
Lure the trap
The lure attracts possums to interact with the internal wire. Place some bait, such as a resoakable felt lure, Smooth Cinnamon Lure or Smooth Aniseed Lure onto the internal wire. To increase interaction with the trap, apply Lure‑It spray around the trap entrance.
