Here are some frequently asked questions at Connovation:

  1. When will my order be shipped?
    • Most of our orders are shipped within a day or two of the order placed.
    • Toxic products are made fresh in the factory based on the order placed. This enables customers to enjoy maximum shelf-life of the product.
    • Delays are expected when orders include toxic products or products that are not in stock.

  1. How do I get a Controlled Substance License (CSL)?

 

  1. Do I need a Controlled Substance License (CSL) to purchase toxic products?
    • A CSL license is required to purchase Feratox pellets for Possum/ Dama Wallaby, Feratox Pellets for Bennett’s Wallaby, Cyanara, Bio Bags or PAPP. Other toxic products do not require a CSL.

 

  1. How do I place an order for CSL products?
    • Email sales@connovation.co.nz for queries regarding CSL products. If you are a new customer, we also require a copy of the front and back of your CSL.

 

  1. What is the self-life of Feratox pellets for Possum/ Dama Wallaby and Feratox for Bennett’s Wallaby?
    • Shelf-life of Feratox pellets for Possum/ Dama Wallaby and Feratox for Bennett’s Wallaby is 6 months.

 

  1. What is the shelf-life of D-Blocks/ D-Block Extreme/ Ratabate Paste?
    • Shelf life of D-Blocks or D-Block Extreme is 9 months and Ratabate Paste is 6 months.

 

  1. What is the shelf-life of Double Tap 6g, 12g and 28g?
    • Shelf-life of Double Tap 6g, 12g and 28g is 6 months.

 

  1. Is D-Blocks and Ratabate Paste the same?
    • D-Block and Ratabate Paste share the same active ingredient – Diphacinone, a first-generation anti-coagulant. D-Block is a solid block and the Ratabate Paste as the name suggests, is a paste bait formulation.

 

  1. Does RatAbate Paste or D-Bock have an antidote that works if we have pets like cats around?
    • Yes, Vitamin K is an antidote used for RatAbate Paste or D-Block. The effectiveness of Vitamin K will depend however on the amount of bait eaten and the time treatment is started. If these products are used in a lockable bait station such as the Run-through or Zig Zag bait station, there is minimal risk of primary poisoning from spillage and there is a reduced risk of secondary poisoning. If you are concerned however, trapping may be a better option for you.

 

  1. Are cats safe when I use the Flipping Timmy?
    • Generally, the lures used in Flipping Timmy’s to attract possums, do not attract cats. Do not use lures that contain peanut butter. If you are concerned, it would be safer to only set your traps at nights when your cats are inside.

 

  1. How do you deter pet cats from entering the Timms traps?
    • Please follow the same advice as noted for the Flipping Timmy..

 

  1. Are DOC boxes made at the factory in Connovation?
    • Connovation uses H4 industrial timber to build sturdy DOC150, DOC200, DOC250 and Wooden Rat Trap tunnels.

 

 

  1. What are the dimensions of Connovation’s DOC200 wooden box?
    • Our boxes are slightly bigger, they've been widened by 20mm to ensure the trigger bar does not get caught. Dimensions are - 400mm x 270mm x 250mm.

 

  1. What are the dimensions of Connovation’s Weka Proof DOC200 box?
    • Our boxes are slightly bigger, they've been widened a bit to ensure the trigger bar does not get caught. Dimensions are - 575mm x 272mm x 250mm.

 

  1. How long does a piece of an Erayz sheet last in a trap? i.e., how often should it be replaced roughly?
  • Erayz sheet is pre-cut into 40-pieces. One piece can be placed in a trap at a time. Replacing each piece depends on the location and weather conditions including dampness, humidity, etc. Standard DOC practice is to replace in 30 days.
