PAPP for Stoats - Notifications Removed
PredaStop for Stoat Control
The EPA on 23 July 2015 removed the major stumbling block to the effective use of PredaStop for Stoat Control - the requirement for users to notify occupiers of land within 3km of any intended bait station site using PredaStop for Stoats.
It is no longer a requirement to notify occupiers of land adjoining operational areas when PredaStop for Stoat Control is used.
This decision by the EPA follows a public hearing by the EPA where Connovation presented its case supported by Regional Councils, Department of Conservation and Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu. We thank those organisations for their support in enabling this tool for stoat control to be available for its intended use: controlling stoats and protecting our wildlife.
The coming Spring months are regarded as the optimum time for stoat control.
We look forward to you joining us in the war against stoats.
